The Baja Ha-ha
Red Line
The Ha-ha route runs from a start off Coronado Roads to Cabo San Lucas.  There are three legs to the race/rally.  The first runs from San Diego to Bahia de Tortuga (Turtle Bay).  It is the longest at about 350miles.  The second leg runs from there to Bahia Santa Maria (Santa Maria Bay) and is a bit shorter at about 220 miles.  The last leg runs from there to Cabo San Lucas, about 125 miles.

Legacy had a good Ha-ha, though there was only 50% sailing on the first leg.   The second leg was great sailing with building winds to an exciting finish in Bahia Santa Maria where we sat out a day of 30 knot winds.  The last leg to Cabo was good sailing up until the last 15 miles when the wind died.  Our Ha-ha crew included Anna Walker of Anchorage and Wade Rogers of Juneau.  Thanks to their able assistance Legacy finished second in her class on the 2003 Ha-ha.
