Galley |
The spacious and
convenient galley is on the starboard side of the companionway. It
is the only galley we've seen on this size boat that is laid out so that
two people can work together. The aft leg of the "U" has separate
freezer and refrigerator compartments, as well as a built-in spice rack.
The long base of the "U" has a Force 10 three burner stove with oven,
three drawers and a storage hatch on each side of the stove, and two
cabinets above the counter on each side. The forward leg of the
"U" is a generous double sink in stainless. There is a very large
storage area beneath the sink with custom dividers to hold pots and pans
in place. All of the countertop is grey-flecked Corian.

Looking aft to starboard into the galley. Visible is the microwave
permanently mounted over the fridge and freezer. Additional stowage
is provided in two compartments under the floor. (The inside
manual bilge pump is also located under the floor.) The generous amount
of counter space allows two separate work areas in the galley. |

The aft section of the galley with built-in spice shelves, produce net, microwave,
and top opening freezer and refrigerator doors. (The refrigerator
door is L shaped opening a large notch in the front of the counter for
easier access.) Visible on the back wall to the right of the 110v
outlet are the electronic controls and readouts for the freezer and
refrigerator compartments. In addition to the permanently mounted
fan a 12v outlet is provided to allow an extra fan to be used in very
hot climates. |

Looking to starboard at the front end of the galley.
Above the sink you can see the remote control for the Spectra watermaker.
On the front of the sink is the remote control for the propane sniffer
and solenoid valve. A manual freshwater foot pump is located on
the floor in front of the sink. The area under the sink is
provided with removable dividers to prevent pot and pans and other
cooking gear from shifting about while still allowing access to deep
storage under the floor of the cabinet. |

Access to the front of the engine is beneath the stairs
leading to the cockpit. The top of the engine driven heater can
just be seen at the bottom of the picture. |

The left image shows the companionway computer monitor
in its stowed position against the ceiling. The right image shows
it deployed for viewing from the cockpit. Although this is a
standard LCD monitor it has a "T-Flex" coating from Ocean PC that allows
it to be very visible even in bright light |
